PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housing construction of an electronic instrument which is capable of obtaining a rigidity, necessary for preventing the deformation of an edge when a cable fixed to a cable fixing metal is pulled from outside, without increasing the number of parts and assembling man-hour. SOLUTION: A notch 1a is formed on the rim of a metal sheet constituting a housing 1, and draw forming work is applied on the rim of the notch 1a so as to extend the notch toward the inside direction of the housing.
