PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preparation system exhibiting the effect of components for protecting the damage of hair, such as a cationic surfactant, etc., without a regret. SOLUTION: This cosmetic for the hair is provided by incorporating (1)≥70 mass% polyhydric alcohol and (2) 1 kind or≥2 kinds selected from the cationic surfactant, an amphoteric surfactant and a cationic polymer in the hair cosmetic. As the polyhydric alcohol, it is preferable to contain at least 70 mass% glycerol, and as the 1 kind or≥2 kinds selected from the cationic surfactant, amphoteric surfactant and cationic polymer, a quaternary ammonium salt and/or tertiary amine salt is preferably contained.
