A sizing die consists of a number of slats (18) whose ends bear on the outside of an extruded pipe (24). The positions of the slats (18) can be adjusted in unison in a radial direction by a gear mechanism (20, 22, 26). The entire cage (10) is supported in a ball or roller bearing (40) so that it can be rotated by an electric motor, either directly or through a belt or chain drive. |
