IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND SETTING METHOD FOR OUTPUT REGARDING CONSUMABLES FOR IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, wherein output of consuming state for consumables and accurate output of a message regarding exchange can be easily set by an administrator or a user.

SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with: a consumed state detection means for detecting the consumed state of the consumables for each consumable; a decision means for comparing a value for the consumed state detected by the consumed state detecting means with a specified value regarding the exchange of the consumables and then deciding the output of the message concerning the exchange of the consumables; an exchange message output setting means for setting the existence of the output of the message when the output of the message is decided by the decision means; and a consumed state output setting means for setting the existence of the output for the consumed state of the consumables detected by the consumed state detection means, for each consumable.
