PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize lane guide that is well harmonized with route guide. SOLUTION: A lane marker 10, buried under the road surface of each lane transmits each information of road information (road name or the like), arrangement information (for example, "13" shows the position of a lane marker 10 on the third column, namely, on the third position from a crossing inlet, on the first row, namely, on the left lane), and traveling direction information (advancing straight/turning right or left). A navigation device, receiving the information determines whether a traveling lane at the present agrees with the traveling direction by the route guide during execution of the route guide; and only when these is disagreement, will it report for urging change to a lane that agree with the traveling direction by the route guide. A vehicle occupant can realize by the report that lane change is necessary, in order to drive a vehicle along the route guide and can perform driving operation for lane change.
