PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation residence capable of easily inspecting a vibration isolation device from the outside without eliminating a modesty panel. SOLUTION: A building body 3 is plated on the foundation 1 through the vibration isolation device 2. An external wall of the building body 3 is placed upward of the vibration isolation device 2. An inspection gap 39 for inspecting the vibration isolation device is formed between the upper end of the foundation 1 and the lower end of the external wall. The upper end section of a stripe-shaped wall end member 40 is mounted to the lower end section of the external wall in a detachable manner.
