PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for monitoring anomalies in a gas turbine for preventing occurrence of anomalies to be caused by variations in pressure and flame positions due to unstable combustion of the gas turbine, and by cracks and the like attendant upon local concentration of stresses and variation in the heat cycle without using a number of means for detecting conditions, and without performance of over-detection. SOLUTION: Output data accumulated in the past by the means for condition detection on specific conditions of the gas turbine is statistically processed to obtain the mean and the variance, or the standard deviation. At the same time, the range wherein the mean, the variance, or the standard deviation exists is obtained by the interval estimation. On the basis of the obtained range, the mean, and the variance, or the standard deviation, a normal range of the output of the means for condition detection is calculated. If the calculation is deviated from the normal range, the gas turbine is determined to be under abnormal conditions. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
