PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket for a screw driver, fitted to a screw driver to be used as a socket wrench used for assembling or detaching a ball nut. SOLUTION: In this socket 1 for a screw driver, a socket body 2 axially movable along an outer peripheral surface of the driver bit 11 and detachable from the driver bit 11 but non-rotatable is fitted around the driver bit 11, and socket parts 3, 4 are formed at both end portions of the socket body 2.
