The method involves providing a processor system with two identical processors (100, 200), and evaluating control information by the processors. The control information is sent to a machine (9) that utilizes the information. The evaluation of the control information is repeated cyclically. The processors are changed in sequence in execution of sequence of instructions, in whose process the control information is evaluated, if a switching instruction contained in the sequence of instructions is read. An independent claim is also included for a processor system with execution units.
