The holding net (6) is arranged on the floor of the foot well (2) in front of a vehicle passenger seat (8). A removable panel (12) covers the floor (10) of the foot well, the net is fastened to this panel. There is a depression in the floor, into which the panel is inserted. The net is on one side of the panel, which can be inserted into the depression either way up, flush with the floor of the well. A handle (22) is provided to lift the panel. The net is fastened to the edges of the panel and is elastic.
