<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To position a process cartridge attachably/detachably mountable to the main assembly of an image forming apparatus in a direction substantially perpendicular to the axial line of a photoreceptor drum. <P>SOLUTION: The photoreceptor drum 7 receives rotational driving force from the body of the apparatus via a coupling hole and a coupling projection while the coupling projection receives drawing force toward the coupling hole by the rotation of a body side gear when the process cartridge B is mounted on the apparatus body. In such a case, the process cartridge B moves in the direction substantially perpendicular to the axial line of the photoreceptor drum 7. Then, the process cartridge has a cartridge side positioning portion (butting portion 13R3) which abuts on a main assembly side positioning member (butting portion 16f) so as to regulate the further movement of the process cartridge. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
