PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet feeder, and an image forming device capable of detecting a boundary between a transparent portion and a non-transparent portion of a recording medium with excellent accuracy.

SOLUTION: The image forming device 100 has a resist roller 5 for setting a fore end position of a recording medium T having a transparent portion T1 and a non-transparent portion T2, and a boundary detection sensor 73 for detecting a boundary T3 between the transparent portion T1 and the non-transparent portion T2. The boundary detection sensor 73 is provided at the position on the downstream side of the resist roller 5 in the conveying direction of the recording medium T.
