摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a structure for dissolving such problems that when a structure having a small thickness of a liquid crystal layer in a pixel region is to be formed such as a field sequential liquid crystal display element, it is difficult to preferably cure a sealing material between substrates by a conventional method, and that although this problem can be solved by forming a liquid crystal layer thickness adjusting film within a pixel region, this inhibits a layered structure of a counter electrode and a light shielding film and induces a display defect due to increase in the resistance of the counter electrode. <P>SOLUTION: A light-shielding film 19 is formed on the inner face of a substrate 23 within a pixel region; a liquid crystal layer thickness adjusting film 3 is provided to cover the light-shielding film; a counter electrode comprising an ITO film 4 is provided thereon; and the ITO film 4 and the light-shielding film 19 are connected via a contact hole 7 provided in the liquid crystal layer thickness adjusting film 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
