<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head which excels in wear resistance and scratching resistance and achieves a higher connection strength between a platelike face member and a head body part with a relatively low position of center of gravity. <P>SOLUTION: Parts corresponding to the face member and a sole part of the head body part is made of a metal material different from each other and more than 50% of the volume of the head body part is composed of CFRP. Moreover, a specific gravity of the metal material used for the sole part of the head body part is made larger than that of the metal material used for the face member.
