PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized lightweight electronic paper system having thin thickness. SOLUTION: The electronic paper system has electronic papers each having a comparing means comparing a voltage of a point of contact of page detection voltage output with a page designating voltage, a first switch connecting a driving signal to a display driving part based on the comparing result of the comparing means, a pair of points of contact of page designating voltage, a pair of points of contact of ground and a second switch which is connected between the point of contact of page detecting voltage output and the points of contact of ground and is usually in an ON-state and in an OFF state when the electronic paper is superposed on the switch and a writing device having first and second probes, power source for a signal applying voltage between the first and the second probes, a page designating voltage probe connected to the point of contact of page designating voltage and a page designating means transmitting the page designating voltage from the page designating voltage probe.
