PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper staple driving machine which can prevent a stitching portion from being soiled, is widely applicable to a manually operated machine, and can reduce an operating load thereof. SOLUTION: According to the structure of the paper staple driving machine, a vertically movable punch 3 having an almost rectangular solid has opening sections on both upper and lower sides, and a U-shaped paper staple 4 is set inside the punch 3 in a manner ready to be driven. A crown shape of the paper staple 4 is formed so as to be almost the same as an inner peripheral shape of the punch 3 so that leg portions 9, 10 of the paper staple 4 are held in an inner side of the punch 3 while making elastic contact with the same when set. Then a pressing member 12 for detachably fitting to the inside of the punch 3 is vertically movably arranged over the punch 3, and a pair of blade portions 6, 6 are arranged at a lower edge of the punch 3 so as to be opposed to each other. The blade portions 6, 6 are fitted into a punch hole 2 formed in a receiving stand 1, and therefore through holes 8, 8 are bored in papers P by virtue of shear force. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
