PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair dryer having a simple constitution and a superior heating effect, shortening a time required for heating by approximately uniformizing the temperature distribution of a heated magnetic metal body as a whole in a simple constitution, or having superior safety. SOLUTION: The heat source 18 of a hair dryer body 11 incorporating a heat source, a fan and a motor actuating the fan is constituted of an electromagnetic induction heating means. The heat source 18 is formed of a coil 17b wound around an insulated inner tube 17c, and a tube 17d formed of a magnetic metal material, inserted into the insulated inner tube 17c and provided into non-contact state with the coil 17b.
