The system has lift cam that changes a lift amount of an intake valve (1). Fuel ratio sensor adopted to increase a compression ratio of the combustion chamber (8) by opening and closing an exhaust valve (4) subsequently after an intake stroke until a pressure within the chamber becomes equal to exhaust passage pressure.
