<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus, an image processing method and an image processing program by which more appropriate correction processing according to over exposure, under exposure, the follow light scene, and the backlight scene, etc. of the main subject is attained and more appropriate correction image is obtained by discriminating photographic scenes with higher precision from image data. <P>SOLUTION: The photographic scene is discriminated with the higher precision from the image data and the more appropriate correction processing according to the scene discrimination results such as the over-exposure, under-exposure, the follow light scene, and backlight scene, etc. of the main subject is attained by appropriately extracting a face which is the main subject without erroneously extracting pixels of color close to a skin color in background and utilizing the extracted face for index calculation for scene discrimination of the image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
