<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable proper selection of an image to be used as an indicator image (a representative image) indicating contents of an image group, from images in the image group. <P>SOLUTION: In a control part 11 of the reception terminal 1 for receiving print orders, at least one image group is extracted based on predetermined conditions, from a plurality of images recorded in a medium M recording images having date and time information as added information, and a representative image indicating contents of images included in the image group is selected per extracted image group. When selecting the representative image, the control part 11 calculates light distribution characteristics in regard to at least one image in the image group, it carries out face extracting processing of extracting a face area of a person, and it selects the representative image on the basis of a calculation result of the light distribution characteristics and/or face area information of the image from which the face area is extracted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
