<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet recording paper, in which a low gas permeable or non-gas permeable support is employed, which has a high surface glossiness and a high dot reproducibility equal to those of a silver salt photograph, is excellent in ink absorbency, has a high recording density and in which no cockling due to ink solvent develops. <P>SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the ink-jet recording paper having at least one ink accepting layer and a glossy layer provided on the ink accepting layer on the low gas permeable or non-gas permeable support, an ink accepting layer forming process for forming the ink accepting layer on the support, a coating liquid supplying process for supplying a coating liquid for forming the glossy layer and a pressing process for separating a coating liquid layer, after being formed by pressingly passing the support between a calender roll and a press roll under the condition that a surface fed with the coating liquid comes into contact with the calender roll from the calender roll, from the calender roll during the condition that the coating liquid layer keeps its wet state or semi-dry state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
