<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for efficiently promoting the peeling of skin horny in a short time to improve drabness, because the sufficient peeling of the skin horny layers is difficult to cause the drabness in many cases, when the activity of a desmosome degradation enzyme on skin is deteriorated. <P>SOLUTION: This desmosome degradation-promoting agent of the present invention is characterized by containing the extract of one or more plants selected from Zizyphus jujuba var. inermis Rehd, Saxifraga stolonifera L., and Rubus idaeus L. The external preparation for skin is characterized by containing the extract of one or more plants selected from Zizyphus jujuba var. inermis Rehd, Saxifraga stolonifera L., and Rubus idaeus L., and granules.
