PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket connector with a structure stably connecting even when an object to be connected has connecting terminals to be inserted in other area than the vicinity of an attaching surface. SOLUTION: The socket connector 100 can be connected even when one of the opposing side objects to be connected 50 to is provided with the connecting terminals (indicating a second electrode 53a and a third electrode 53b), in a height direction other than in the vicinity of the attaching surface by devising shapes and arranged structure of each contact 10 and each restraining member 20. When the opposing side objects to be connected to the opposing side objects 50 are held inserted from one direction to a holder 31, conductive connection is made by having each restraining contact in each restraining member 20 engaged to each part to be restrained to a locker 52 by receiving repulsing force of a spring part in each contact 10 and having each restraining contact part and each second electrode 53a abutted with each other. At the same time, conductive connection is made by having a projecting contact part in each restraining member 20 being brought into contact with each third electrode 53a in each part to be restrained to 52.
