PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate generation of insensitivity zone in the low load region by eliminating air gap between an optical fiber and the molding material without imparting initial deformation. SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the impact detection optical fiber sensor provided with the optical fiber 1 and a load concentration plate 5 having a plurality of protrusions arranged along the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber 1, and mold materials 11a and 11b for covering the optical fiber 1 and a concentration plate 5, an optical fiber block 12 which is made by coating the optical fiber 1 with the mold material 11a and the load concentration plate block 13 which is made by coating the load concentration plate 5 with the molding material 11b, these optical fiber block 12 and load concentration plate block 13 are integrated by sticking.
