摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for measuring biological information which can determine the biological information such as a sleep apnea syndrome by a simple algorithm. SOLUTION: When three-second oxygen saturation data are transmitted from the apparatus for measuring the biological information (#1), the data is determined whether there is any period when the measuring operation for oxygen saturation is made impossible (#2), when the impossible period is determined (YES in #2), data of SpO<SB>2</SB>(data of three-second oxygen saturation) are interpolated (#3). A baseline is calculated from the data of the degree of three-second oxygen saturation of the whole measuring period (#4), Fourier transformation is performed on the data of the three-second oxygen saturation (#5), the power spectrum ¾FT_SpO<SB>2</SB>(nF)¾ of the Fourier-transformed data is computed (#6), an area S in a 0.0083 Hz-0.05 Hz frequency region out of this power spectrum is computed (#7), and the value of ODI corresponding to this area S is derived (#8).
