PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To preferably position an armrest to a chair body when fixing the armrest to the chair body. SOLUTION: The joint structure for an arm rod 5 to the chair body is provided with a recess 511 having a peripheral edge of non-perfect circle shape in the arm rod 5 and a projection 133 fit the recess 511 at the main body. While inner tapered faces 511x and 511y are formed in approximately all area of the inner periphery of the recess 511, outer tapered faces 133x and 133y are formed on approximately all area of the outer periphery of the projection 133 to closely engage with the inner tapered faces 511x and 511y.
