PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foamed resin container filling ice in its main body, guiding the ice to the inside of the main body, not leaving ice on the top edge of the side wall of the main body and easily closed with a lid. SOLUTION: The foamed resin container comprising a container body and a lid mounted removably on the opening of the container body made of a thermoplastic resin foamed body. The top edge of the side wall of the container body is peripherally provided with a first inclining face whose height gradually increases from the inside end of a side wall to the top end at the center part in the thickness direction, a stage part provided from the top end to a bottom end of the stage near a top end and at a lower position and a second inclining face whose height gradually decreases from the bottom end of the stage to or near the outside end of the side wall.
