<p>A suction duct (11) for lifting liquids has the suction duct linked to a pressure duct (13) by a short intermediate duct (14) with an inner wall of air porous material and an outer chamber fitted with an inlet pipe (26) for compressed air. The inner porous duct is sealed between the suction and pressure ducts and is made of granular material and has a similar inner diameter as the suction and pressure ducts.</p>
