<p>A plastic element (1) for a conveyor belt has a two layer structure with a hard support layer (2) and with a soft elastomer coating (6) on the top surface. The element is linked to similar elements to form the belt. The support layer can be made of high density polyethylene, e.g. SDPE or POM. The elastomer layer can be a polyurethane with a Shore hardness of between 80 and 90. The two layers can be injection molded or the layers can be bonded using adhesive.</p> |
