PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of properly cleaning a filter in response to an operation state of the air conditioner. SOLUTION: This air conditioner has the filter 13, a filter cleaning device 20 cleaning the filter 13 and an indoor unit control part 10 controlling operation of the filter cleaning device 20. The indoor unit control part 10 controls to operate the filter cleaning device 20 in any of a plurality of different operation modes in response to a plurality of respective timings.
