<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening and closing panel system of a vehicle equipped with a holding detection function capable of using a shut up mode if necessary. <P>SOLUTION: The opening and closing panel system of the vehicle is equipped with a panel 30 opening and closing an opening section such as a window or the like of the boy, a driving meas 78 supplying power for opening and closing by sliding the panel 30, a driving mechanism 60 making the panel 30 operate by the power from the driving means 78 and a controlling means 76 controlling the operation of the panel. The controlling means 76 is equipped with a holding detection mode making the panel 30 invert in the opening direction in the case of operating in the closing direction and a shut up mode making the operation in the closing direction take precedence according to the shut up operation of a crew.
