PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna for mobile terminals which can be downsized, can be made into broad band, facilitates an impedance matching, and can be made into low frequency. SOLUTION: The antenna incorporated in a mobile terminal comprises a ground plate 1, an antenna element 2, and a parasitic element 3 for impedance matching. The ground plate 1 is made of a conductor, and the antenna element 2 is disposed in the vicinity of a side part of the ground plate so as not to overlap in a direction perpendicular to a plate surface of the ground plate. The parasitic element 3 for impedance matching is disposed so as to overlap a part of the ground plate 1 and at least a feed part 20 of the antenna element 2 in the direction perpendicular to the plate surface of the ground plate 1.
