PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite machine capable of preventing image data from being uselessly retransmitted. SOLUTION: The composite machine 1 stores a facsimile number denoting a transmission destination of image data by facsimile communication or electronic mail communication, a mail address and a facsimile number denoting retransmission destination, calls the facsimile number denoting the retransmission destination when transmission to the transmission destination is failed, and retransmits the image data to the retransmission destination. The composite machine 1 is provided with: a reception means for receiving the necessity of retransmission of the image data; a transmission destination storage section 24 for storing retransmission necessity information denoting the necessity of retransmitting the image data depending on a result of the reception by the reception means; a determination means for determining the necessity of the retransmission on the basis of the retransmission necessity information stored in the transmission destination storage section 24 when the transmission of the image data to the transmission destination related to the stored electronic mail is failed; and a means for retransmitting the image data to the retransmission destination related to the stored facsimile number when the determination means determines the necessity of retransmission.
