PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost by simplifying the structure and reducing the number of parts of a reverse input-preventive clutch. SOLUTION: A retainer 14 having pockets with wedge parts narrower toward the rotating direction is interposed between an input member 12 and an output member 13. Rolling elements 18 are contained in the pockets. The input shaft 12 and the output shaft 13 are disposed in the axial direction. The input member 12 and the retainer 14 are made of a single part. A torque is transmitted by engaging the input member 12 with the output member 13 with a time delay from the timing of unlocking the rolling elements 18 by the retainer 14 rotating integrally with the input member 12. An input from the output member 13 side is locked by the rolling elements 18 to prevent a torque from being transmitted. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
