PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting rod enabling the suppression of increase in weight and manufacturing cost while it is so structured that its rigidity can be enhanced. SOLUTION: This connecting rod comprises a rod body 5, first cylindrical part 10, a second cylindrical part 20, a first damping rubber bush 30, and a second damping rubber bush 40. The rod body 5 is formed by fixedly caulking a first sheet metal 50 and a second sheet metal 60. The outer peripheral part 55 of the first sheet metal 50 and the outer peripheral part 65 of the second sheet metal are so fixedly caulked to each other that one outer peripheral part 65 can be covered by the other outer peripheral part 55. The inner peripheral part 56 of a first through-hole portion 6 in the first sheet metal 50 and the inner peripheral part 66 of a second through-hole portion 7 in the second sheet metal 60 are so fixedly caulked to each other that one inner peripheral part 66 can be covered by the other inner peripheral part 56.
