ELEVATOR ROPE CLEANING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device for an elevator rope capable of enhancing scraping off ability of deteriorated grease cumulated in a bottom part of the elevator rope. SOLUTION: The elevator rope cleaning device scrapes off the deteriorated grease deposited on the elevator rope 50 by pressing cleaning bodies 30A-30D. The cleaning bodies 30A-30D have U-shaped grooves 31 inserted with the elevator rope 50 respectively. A depth dimension of the groove 31 is set a diameter dimension or longer of the elevator rope 50 and a clearance dimension of linear edge parts 31a, 31b and an inner diameter dimension of a semi-circular edge part 31c are set slightly shorter than the diameter dimension of the elevator rope 50. Each cross section shape of the edge parts 31a-31c is sharp by forming an inclination part 31d inclined with respect to an upper surface of the cleaning body at an angle of 70°or less. The cleaning bodies 30A-30D are arranged such that the respective upper surfaces become an approximately right angle relative to the elevator rope. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
