摘要	A back plate of a disc brake comprising a caliper surrounding one or more brake discs and one or more back plates receiving one or more brake pads, and a brake actuating mechanism house attached to the caliper, characterized in that the back plate has extended parts giving extended areas for contact with the caliper, and giving surfaces of contact, that the extended areas are the ends of an upper part extending above the position of the brake pads, which upper part is an integrated part of the back plate and that the width of the extended areas is substantially larger than the width of rest of the back plate in the area of the brake pads.
