The exchanger has connecting pipes (17, 18) arranged between pipes, where a coolant and air, flow in the pipes. Two flow channel rows (12, 13) for the coolant are arranged one after another in a flow direction of the air. The rows are passed through in opposite directions and perpendicular to the flow direction of the air from the coolant. The connecting pipes connect two collecting tanks (21, 22) with one another and/or connect the collecting tanks with diverting tanks for the coolant.
