摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To oxygenate a PM even in a low-temperature zone of 300&deg;C or less to improve further PM oxidation capabilities. <P>SOLUTION: A catalyst layer contains a porous oxide, a noble metal supported by the porous oxide, and an alkaline metal supported by the porous oxide, and supports 0.6 mols or more alkaline metal per liter of a filter substrate. It is considered that a supporting of a lot of alkaline metals improves a contact probability of the PM with the alkaline metal.
