<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform handover smoothly when a mobile station travels from a cell region in one base station to that in another base station in a mobile communication network of a type for exchanging IP packets between an access router and the base station. <P>SOLUTION: The handover control method in the mobile communication network of a type for exchanging IP packets between the access router and the base station comprises: a process for receiving a handover request from the mobile station; a process for abolishing packets being retransmitted and those waiting for scheduling, abolishing packets waiting for scheduling, and waiting for the completion of the transmission of packets being retransmitted, or waiting for the completion of the transmission of packets being retransmitted and those waiting for scheduling; and a process for switching cells. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
