PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend a communication distance as compared with equipment using an antenna coil having the same mounting area when communication with external equipment such as a reader/writer for RFID, is carried out, and to perform communication even when either the top or reverse surface of portable electronic equipment is held up over the external equipment such as the reader writer for the RFID. SOLUTION: An antenna coil 12 is arranged along the flank of a main case 11 in such a direction that magnetic flux vertically passes through first and second main surfaces of the main case 11. When the main case 11 is held up over the antenna of a reader/writer side, magnetic flux from the antenna of the reader/writer passes through the magnetic body core of the antenna coil 12, so there is a little influence of a magnetic shield body in the case and a long communication distance with the reader/writer can be secured. Even when the surface of the mobile phone on the side of a sub-case 15 is held up over the reader/writer and the the sub-case 15 is a magnetic shield body, the magnetic flux from the antenna of the reader/writer passes through the magnetic body core of the antenna coil 12 to make the communication possible.
