PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a projection type cathode-ray tube device formed by combining a projection type cathode-ray tube and a deflection device including a deflection yoke, restraining anode leak defect caused by unnecessary discharge at a neighboring area of a high-voltage lead-in anode terminal, excellent in a displaying property, and to obtain a projection display device. SOLUTION: The neighboring area of a high-voltage lead-in anode terminal embedded in and arranged at a funnel part, having a part exposed on an external wall face of the funnel part, is cleaned by hydrogen fluoride solution to remove hygroscopic deposited substance adhered on the external wall face.
