PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detoxification method for efficiently detoxifying hazardous compounds containing arsenic and the like. SOLUTION: In the detoxification method for hazardous compounds, the hazardous compounds containing at least one kind of element selected from a group consisting of arsenic, antimony, and selenium are converted to harmless substances by using a food chain system containing larval zooplankton.
