<p>The method involves storing air mass value characteristics field in a motor control unit (MCU) of an internal combustion engine (CE). Digitalized outlet voltage value is addressed by n-k highest bit of each, n bit length, which contains an assigned air mass value entry of the stored air mass value characteristics field. The remaining, k lowest bit, digitalized outlet voltage value of an evaluation and computer unit of the motor control unit is coded. Additional air mass intermediate values between the air mass values of each addressed table memory location stored in the look uptable and the succeeding next table memory location are recovered by interpolation. An independent claim is also included for a motor control unit.</p> |
