<p>An artificial antigen presenting system is presented. The herein presented microspheres combine negative regulators individually or at varying combinations along with MCH molecules and can induce antigen specific tolerance. The herein described methods provide for the construction of artificial biodegradable microsomes containing MHC: peptide complexes, accessory molecules, co-stimulatory molecules, adhesion molecules, and other molecules relevant to T cell binding or modulation. Additionally, the present invention is directed to compositions and methods for treating conditions which would benefit from modulation of T cell response, for example, autoimmune disorders, allergies, cancers, viral infections, and graft rejection.</p> |
