A method for using live screen contents by using a mobile communication terminal and a system therefor are provided to offer some of broadcasting contents, obtained by encoding broadcast of broadcast channels such as terrestrial broadcasting, satellite broadcasting, digital multimedia broadcasting, and cable broadcasting, as live screen contents, thereby supplying various live screen contents to the terminal. A mobile communication terminal(100) receives live screen contents through downloading in a live screen service, and executes the live screen contents as the desktop. A broadcasting receiver(120) receives broadcasting including one of terrestrial broadcasting, satellite broadcasting, and DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) and cable broadcasting programs. An encoding server(130) receives the broadcasting according to each channel, and generates broadcasting contents encoded into moving picture files. A broadcasting contents DB(140) stores the generated broadcasting contents according to each channel. A live screen service server(150) demands transmission of the live screen contents to the encoding server(130), and sends the received live screen contents to the terminal(100).
