<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print with superior color reproductivity even for image data with different color spaces by a color printer, to which a color reproduction range is restricted. <P>SOLUTION: Image data from a reading device 1 is transformed to image data in common extended color space with wide color gamut by an image data processing device (#1)2 and accumulated in HDD 5. Image data received from PC 16 and the like is transformed to image data in the extended color space and accumulated in the HDD 5. The image data in the HDD 5 is transformed to image data in color space according to an output device like FAX 15 and transmitted.
