<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that the time to perform calibration for correcting the irregularity of toner density can not be accurately secured without deteriorating image quality nor needlessly consuming toner though it is necessary to perform such calibration in a color image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The color image forming apparatus is equipped with a temperature measuring means for measuring temperature in the apparatus in fixed time units, and performs the calibration when the total of the variation of the temperature per unit time measured by the temperature measuring means exceeds a designated threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
