<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve cost reduction and miniaturization of a motor. <P>SOLUTION: Phase switching of a motor 10 is performed based on positional information from an encoder 21. In this regard, the position where rotation of the rotor stops stably after it is rotary driven by conducting a current to a specific pole is employed as the reference position of phase switching. Since the switching phase can be specified by specifying the rotor position at the time of power up, a phase detection means incorporated in the motor can be eliminated, thereby achieving cost reduction and miniaturization of a motor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
