<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse compression radar system capable of suppressing a range side lobe caused by pulse compression even if a pulse width of a transmission signal is narrow. <P>SOLUTION: The pulse compression radar system comprises a radar controller 2 for generating a pulse width control signal indicating pulse widths of N kinds for each PRI, a chirp signal generator 1 for generating a chirp signal, a pulse modulator 3 for modulating the generated chirp signal to the signal with a pulse width in response to the pulse width control signal, a receiver 7 for transmitting a signal received from the pulse modulator from an antenna 6 and generating an orthogonal digital signal from a signal received from the antenna, a pulse compressor 8 for compressing the pulse of the orthogonal digital signal, and an M/N detector 9 for detecting a message of a target when M (M≤N) signals from among N signals obtained from the pulse compressor for each PRI are larger than a predetermined value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
